This course provides understanding of The Freedom of Information Act 2000. It explores its role in promoting transparency, the procedure for information requests, the difference between this Act and the Data Protection Act 2018, handling of vexatious requests, and the appeal process. The course also discusses the role of the Independent Commission Office (ICO) and the use of publication schemes by public authorities.
